About
Fee the Evolutionist delivers a golden-era flow anchored in raw lyricism and community continuity. A seasoned fixture in New England hip-hop, Fee has collaborated with legendary mentor Ski Beats (Jay-Z, Mos Def) and secured notable sync placements across major networks like HBO, Amazon Prime, and the NBA. His distinct sound has earned a spotlight on WMUR-TV’s NH Chronicle and the coveted Best of New Hampshire award from NH Magazine.
Building on a momentum-heavy foundation—including winning the New England Songwriting Competition and taking home the 2022 New England Music Award for Rising Star: New Hampshire—Fee’s footprint has expanded seamlessly into both national airwaves and elite live stages.
Today, Fee commands the stage as the lead emcee for The Evolutionists, an award-winning live hip-hop and R&B ensemble featuring vocalist Ruby Shabazz. Blending raw, soulful instrumentation with pristine turntablism, the full live band has brought its high-energy fusion of jazz, blues, and classic boom-bap to premium regional platforms, including massive festival slots at The Big E and the Lowell Hip-Hop Festival.
On the airwaves, Fee continues to keep the pure culture moving forward. Following his celebrated anniversary collaboration "Without Me" featuring Boston icon Edo G, Fee teamed up with international hip-hop pioneer Dumi Right (Zimbabwe Legit) and DJ Myth for the 2026 standout single "Break It Down." The track exploded onto the national college radio scene, making its debut as the #5 Most Added Hip-Hop Record in the Country on the NACC charts and securing rotating airplay on premier tastemaker stations like KEXP, KCRW, and WFMU.
As a 2026 New England Music Award Nominee for Hip-Hop Act of the Year, Fee the Evolutionist bridges generational gaps and honors hip-hop culture with zero compromise, solidifying his place at the forefront of the Northeast scene.
"Fee the Evolutionist represents something rare in the local scene - continuity. This new project harks back to the golden age of hip hop weaving the familiar sounds of soul and R&B into a contemporary soundscape"
